Here there is no reason to panic. A domain doesn't cost that much. They are mostly between $50 and $200 per year.
If you do not want someone else to have the same domain name as you, then you may want to buy several top-level domains (e.g. annec.no, annec.se, annec.dk, annec.com etc), and you can do it at a very favorable price. Then you're almost guaranteed that there isn't a website named the same as yours.
